Jennie is one of the most famous members of the hit Kpop girl band Blackpink, which recently finished a successful world tour that launched her as the superstar she is.
After finishing the tour, Jennie is back to work and is already preparing a new single which, it seems, might be inspired by a beloved and important character, Sailor Moon, and fans are more than excited.
Was Jennie’s new single from BLACKPINK inspired by Sailor Moon?
In October, BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s new single “You & Me” was released. The song reached #67 on Spotify’s global chart, a difficult achievement for such a recent song, in addition to great support from the fandom.
The song had a unique and easily identifiable design, which many users identified as a clear representation of the famous magical girl from the anime “Sailor Moon”.
It was Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi herself who created, designed and drew the cover art for BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s single, at least in the artwork featuring her single “You & Me”.
Kpop and anime have come together to illuminate what many netizens have deemed as Jennie’s own “work of art,” and has earned the applause of fans who also enjoy the hit anime.
The singer is ready to release new music.
Social networks have not avoided showing the great taste they had for art and song, making the idol’s popularity greater than ever.
