The Nun II will be streaming on Max before Halloween

The Nun II, the latest entry in the Conjuring Universe, will be streaming on Max just in time for Halloween viewings

Five years after the Conjuring Universe entry The Nun wracked up almost $366 million at the global box office, a sequel finally reached the big screen on September 8th. At the start of this month, The Nun II was given a digital release (you can get it at THIS LINK). Now Deadline reports that the movie will be streaming on the Max service just in time for Halloween! The Nun II will be available to watch on Max as of October 27th.

The sequel didn’t replicate the box office success of the first film, but it still did quite well. As of this writing, The Nun II has earned over $257 million worldwide.

The Nun II is directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of La LloronaThe Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) from a screenplay by Akela Cooper (MalignantM3GAN) and the writing duo of Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing (The Autopsy of Jane Doe). The film has the following synopsis: 1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit THE NUN follows SISTER IRENE as she once again comes face to face with the demonic force VALAK – THE DEMON NUN.

Bonnie Aarons is back in the role of the demon nun Valak and is joined in the cast by fellow returning The Nun stars Taissa Farmiga and Jonas Bloquet. New additions include Storm Reid (Euphoria), who plays a nun-in-training who joins Sister Irene on the mission to stop Valak; child actress Katelyn Rose Downey (Clean Sweep), and Anna Popplewell, who is best known for playing the role of Susan Pevensie in the Chronicles of Narnia franchise. Popplewell plays Kate, “a school teacher at St. Mary’s School in France and a widowed, loving mother to 10-year-old Sophie”. Sophie is played by Downey.

James Wan and Peter Safran produced The Nun II through their Atomic Monster and The Safran Company banners. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michael Polaire serve as executive producers. The film was rated R for violent content and some terror.
