May (2002) Revisited – Horror Movie Review

The latest episode of the Revisited video series looks back at the 2002 horror film May, directed by Lucky McKee and starring Angela Bettis

A new episode of the Revisited video series has just been released, and in this one we’re looking back at the 2002 film May (watch it HERE), which was the feature debut of writer/director Lucky McKee and happens to be a movie that’s great to watch during the Halloween season. To hear all about it, check out the video embedded above!

May has the following synopsis: Young misfit May endured a difficult childhood because of her lazy eye. And though contact lenses have helped May adjust as a young adult, her deep-seated awkwardness remains a problem. Adam, a young man obsessed with fixing wrecked cars, takes a shine to May’s oddball ways. But May’s strangeness ultimately drives him away, leaving her open to the advances of her co-worker Polly. When Polly dumps her too, May’s emotional instability turns violent.

The film stars Angela Bettis, Chandler Riley Hecht, Jeremy Sisto, Anna Faris, Nichole Hiltz, James Duval, Ken Davitian, Kevin Gage, Merle Kennedy, Rachel David, Nora Zehetner, and Will Estes.

The May episode of Revisited was Written, Narrated, and Edited by Lance Vlcek, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.

Several series on the JoBlo Horror Originals YouTube channel have been released under the Revisited banner in the past. (Episodes of Best Horror Movie You Never Saw, The Black Sheep, Deconstructing, Horror Party Movies, Best Foreign Horror Movies, Playing with Fear, and Real Slashers have all been labeled Revisited on YouTube.) A while back, we decided to start a new series simply titled Revisited.
