We cannot deny the great impact that K-pop has had on this new musical generation, and the music coming from South Korea has reached the entire American continent, making the music polarized with extremely talented and fascinating groups, as we have seen with BTS, Stray Kids and the female group BLACKPINK, but apparently the future of the BLACKPINK artists would be completely uncertain, as the girls have decided that they will not sign a contract with the label that has been representing them.
Blackpink could end as we know it by 2024.
BLACKPINK has conquered the hearts of millions of people, so it is normal that those fans show concern about the possible new news of the band, and people have shown concern through social networks about what will happen with the dynamics of this group after not signing with the record label. On Friday, Dec. 29, YG issued a statement confirming the decision
“Blackpink recently renewed their contracts with YG for their group activities, and we have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities,” “We will do our utmost to support Blackpink’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts.”
So we don’t have much to worry about it seems, as we will still have music from the successful band, but each of the solo projects will be handled in a different way, but what we can say is that we are very excited, as Blackpink’s Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa have proven to be well-rounded artists who have a whole successful career ahead of them.
What do you think about it? Do you think the Blackpink girls will affect the group with their individual projects?
